They also reduce wrinkles and add facial symmetry. HOW DOES IT WORK? Dermal fillers attract water to increase skin and tissue volume. The results are immediately noticeable and improve over 2-4 weeks as the filler integrates. They enhance the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while lifting and contouring the face. As we age, our face and neck lose volume. Dermal fillers help by replacing lost fat and bone, addressing sunken eyes, flat cheeks, and jowls, which contribute to an aged appearance. Dermal fillers last 6-18 months, depending on the type of filler and the patient’s metabolism. THE TREATMENT: A consultation with one of our registered nurses and is required before all injectable procedures to discuss the patient’s concerns and goals. The injections feel like a slight pinch and pressure, with some tenderness possible for a few days post-treatment AFTERCARE: - Avoid heat for 24-48 hours. - Avoid heat-inducing activities for 24-48 hours. - Avoid alcohol before and after treatment. - Avoid blood-thinning medication and supplements for 2 weeks prior to treatment. - Avoid makeup for 24 hours post-treatment.
